This is a restaurant in Beijing where, according to our tour guide, the Chinese government hosts foreign dignitaries. The main attraction (if the colorful neon doesn't do it) is Peking Duck. It was delicious!
This was our first meal after arriving in Beijing, and set our dietary expectations for the trip. We were disappointed most of the time.

A Warm Autumn Evening
This is my favorite season of the year.
This is a make-up photo for Project52-2012 week 38: Autumn. In the interests of full disclosure, while I did see the moon at about this location, I didn't have my camera with me. By the time I drove one block to my apartment, ran in and grabbed the camera, walked back and got set up, the moon had risen out of the frame. So this is the actual moon at the time this scene was captured, but moved in Photoshop from higher above the horizon.

Although this photo was a Sunday . . .
I don't do a lot of night photography- just a handful, ever. This was captured on New Year's night this year. 30 seconds at f11 ISO 100, iirc.
This re-post is for #nightphotographyfriday
