Morning In Prague

A nice place to catch some sun!

February 2008

Out tour group had been on foot since early morning, and we had just passed under the west end of Charles Bridge into an open area. There were few people about, and the late morning sun was reflecting brightly into our eyes.

I used to have a version of this photo posted long, long ago, that was slightly narrower, but the same height. I re-processed this from scratch in #LightroomCC2015 and #PhotoshopCC2015 with a bit of help from #TopazDenoise5 and #NIKsoftware #SilverEfexPro2

*Giant Marionettes – *

Friendly giants, though!

I've reworked this photo– again. It's a "vertomrama" made from two horizontal aspect frames, handheld. I posted this a couple of days ago, but after seeing it online, I thought it was a bit dark. Also, the noise on the little "girl's" face and dress was annoying, so I ran it back into Photoshop and did a little more filtering. A version of this from a few years ago is also in my G+ China album (https://goo.gl/aHLnd4 ) done in an earlier version of Photoshop and its Photomerge function.

These characters were apparently part of the opening ceremonies for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It must have been quite a sight. They now reside in the museum attached to the Terracotta Warriors excavation site, Lintong District, Xian, Shiaanxi Province, China. The site is well worth the day-long trip to see.

Used almost exclusively in this reworking effort was #LightroomCC2015 , except for a minor bit of clone-stamping that required a trip into #PhotoshopCC2015 . I may yet try more plugins to further reduce noise and such, but at web sizes, this will do!
